Calories In VS. Calories Out is bad science? Or do you just not know how to count?

The reason I post this is not to shed light on how hard it is to accurately track calorie intake. It is to remind you that we all suck sh** at something when we first start or donā€™t put energy and effort into improving it.šŸ™ƒ

Tracking your calories and macronutrient intake in my opinion is one of the most important things you can do to take control of your health and better your relationship with food. But that doesnā€™t mean itā€™s easy.āš–ļø

Starting something new and expecting to be great at it is a little short-sided.šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

This is a skill.šŸ–‹

Treat it like the last time you learned something new, even when you first started working out for an example.šŸ‹šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

Odds are:

ā–ŖļøYou were bad at it.

ā–ŖļøYou noticed that but kept going anyway.

ā–ŖļøYou got better every day you practiced and got to where you are now.

I know I sound like a broken record butā€¦

Stop looking for quick change.ā±

Stop giving up on new methods because you donā€™t see immediate improvement.šŸ•³

Put real effort into what you try, like your life depends on it (because it kind of does.)šŸ‘€
